The Frontier opened in 1942 as the second resort on the Las Vegas Strip and remained a fixture of the city until 2007. Along the way, it hosted Elvis Presley’s first Las Vegas appearance in 1956 and the final performance of The Supremes with Diana Ross as lead singer in 1970.
